What days of the week do you do sessions?
I can photograph sessions most days of the week and weekends. Weekends tend to be most popular because of the availability of both parents, but many times a late afternoon/early evening weekday session is perfect!
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
I keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to an outdoor session and will keep in touch if I think there's a chance we need to reschedule. We usually make the final call the day of and will reschedule if the forecast is too severe. We will hopefully find another day/time as soon as possible.
When will the gallery be ready?
Most times of the year I will have your complete gallery ready within two weeks. The fall tends to be the busiest time of year and my turn around time may be extended to three weeks.

Yes, of course! Just do me a favor - please tag me with credit and do not apply filters to my photographs! :)
Typically I will be hanging out with your family for 2-3 hours. The length of time may vary slightly depending if we are going to multiple locations. Doing at least the majority of the film at your home is ideal, but we can also head to another spot like the beach, the park, downtown, etc, to capture your other favorite spots to go with your kids!
I am in New Fairfield - a little town in western CT. I frequently travel down to lower Fairfield County for sessions as well as other parts of CT and into NY.
I do not currently air travel because I am a stay at home mom also, so my littles need me! I am willing to travel for day trips around New England and into NY, NJ, and Northeast PA. Certain distances will incur travel fees.
I absolutely love black and white images. There is something about the emotion that they can emit that a color photograph simply cannot. However, color is so important for some of the pretty landscapes that we find to photograph you and your family. Since I believe both are important, I deliver a combination of color and black and white images in each gallery. If I just can't decide if a photo looks better in color or black and and white, I'll probably just edit both ways and include both in the gallery :)
This is an extremely personal decision and may also depend on what type of session you are doing. If you are doing portraits (maternity, newborn, family, etc), you may be more likely to want to do this. If you are doing a Life Session or Fresh 48, these are much more documentary style and 'real life' images and you may want your look to reflect that. With that being said, I want mothers to feel their personal best when I photograph them. This may mean that you will feel best if you get yourself pampered with professional hair and make-up and buy yourself a new outfit. Or, it could mean that you wear your favorite sundress you've had for 10 years and throw your hair up in a ponytail, or maybe even the leggings that are your go to everyday mom-wear and get your top knot on. I want you to feel your best and like your true self. Whatever that may be.

Your online private gallery is actually linked to a professional photo lab, so it's super easy to order prints from your session. You can choose from three different photo finishes and they will be mailed directly to your door! I want you to have high quality prints, so I do not mark up these prices through the gallery. If you choose to print on your own, I recommend MPIX.
