Film Add-on

This is an add-on for extended family, newborn, and life sessions. Not only will I take photos during our session, but I will also be taking video clips. After our session, I will deliver your images to you within two weeks and then work on your short film. This will be 2+ minutes long with licensed music. I love photographs, but there is just something so special about the motion on a film. You will find yourself watching it over and over again.
I'm sure you take some iPhone videos here and there - but how often are YOU in them? I'm sure you would be quick to say, oh I don't need to be in them - it's about the kids. If that's true, that it's about the kids, then you absolutely need to be in them. Your kids will love watching this film, too. Once they are grown up, they will be able to look back and see moments that they may have otherwise forgotten. It is truly priceless.

the details

Your film will be delivered within four weeks of our session. These take longer than photographs because there is a lot more that goes into making a film than editing a photo. First, I need to find the right music. Then I have to go through all of the clips I took and find the right ones to use and put it all together. It takes time and is actually pretty creatively draining - but I LOVE it. Your film will be delivered via a Vimeo download.

A newborn film

A film can be added on to your in-home newborn session to capture the blur that is those first few weeks after having a baby. I've been there twice, both wildly different recoveries. While you may want to shy away from the camera at this moment in time because you're in a very vulnerable state, it is so worth it - I promise. Watch the film below and tell me you can't relate to this mom - who you know is just so over the moon in love with this little boy. When we have our second child, you often wonder how you could love another as much as your first. But in an instant, you absolutely cannot imagine life without this baby. You can absolutely see that as this mother holds, rocks, and whispers to her little one. Grab the tissues and give it a peek :)
